Masque of the Red Death Player’s Guide book design and illustrations

Masque of the Red Death Player’s Guide is a Dungeons & Dragons setting book available NOW on DMs Guild by writer Jeremy Forbing. This book updates the classic D&D Gothic Earth setting (a gothic horror take on Victorian era England) for 5e.

In addition to the design, I illustrated the cover and page decorations. The cover’s center piece is an homage to Harry Clarke’s portrait of Edgar Allan Poe, from an edition of Tales of Mystery and Imagination. The Masque of the Red Death Player’s Guide features several period public domain illustrations, some retouched (by me) to make them more thematically appropriate or add to the diversity of the characters depicted.
